Set on a 500-acre property in Clevedon, with sweeping coastal views over the Hauraki Gulf towards the Coromandel Peninsula, Kauri Bay Auckland is one of the country's most distinctive wedding destinations.
The landscape provides a natural backdrop for every moment of your day — from ceremony on the lawn, to drinks on the patio, through to dinner and evening celebrations indoors.

Winter brings a distinct atmosphere to the property — softer light, open views across the Gulf, and a warm, inviting indoor setting for evening celebrations.
Guests are welcomed into a firelit space and kept comfortable throughout the evening with mulled wine, heating, and covered areas designed for all-weather hosting. The fully enclosed patio ensures the celebration continues seamlessly, whatever the conditions.

The Barn offers a private, comfortable base for your wedding party on the property — somewhere to prepare in the morning and unwind at the end of the evening, without the need to travel.
Designed with a relaxed, rustic western aesthetic, it's a character-filled space that also provides a natural backdrop for getting-ready moments and photography.

The questions we get most.
What's the maximum guest count for the Winter Romance package?
The package is curated for intimate weddings of up to 50 guests, including the wedding party. Additional guests can be added at $130 + GST per person. Transport upgrades are also available.
What if the weather isn't on our side?
Our covered patio can be fully enclosed if required, creating a warm, firelit indoor-outdoor space with clear blinds to retain the coastal views — a backup option that is not just practical, but one you can love.
What does platter-style catering look like?

Can we bring our own celebrant, photographer, or florist?
Yes. You are welcome to work with your own celebrant, photographer, and florist, or we can recommend trusted suppliers.
Is the coach the only transport option?
We offer 10 carparks on-site at The Lodge — however a return 24-seater coach is included in the Winter Romance package. This can be upgraded to a 33, 41, or 49 seater as required and can do two stops anywhere from Albany to Papakura and the wider Auckland region. We also offer smaller 2–19 seater private Mercedes transfers at additional cost.
Can children attend?
Yes, absolutely!
Is The Barn included for an overnight stay?
The Barn isn't included in the package — it's available as an add-on for the bridal party. Ask us when you enquire and we'll send through nightly rates and availability.
How do we hold a date?
You can tentatively hold a date for 7 days free of obligation — just email our team. To confirm your wedding, a signed agreement and a deposit secures your date.
